Sound Harvest is proud to work with many industry professionals both locally and nation wide. Our favorite type of vendor are those
who do not favor brand over quality and are constantly seeking new innovations, simpler and better systems, and without compromise
provide the best customer service available. Therefore you will notice our list is short of recommended vendors, as time and
experience allows we will be proud to ad more links. Do not mistake this as a shortage of good vendors, in fact I prefer to think of
companies as an extension of the person I work with. After all, companies are made up of people. If you ever have questions about
who to buy from or how to go about getting good pricing please feel free to contact us via the form on the left and we will be glad
to make suggestions wherever we can.

Radio Shack model 33-2055 Digital Display Sound Level Meter has been a useful tool to me for years. Superior to their analog version
for the following reasons:
1. You can pause readings and get an average, minimum, and maximum level
2. You Can also set a time function
3. The read out is digital and not a wavy needle bouncing all over the place
They retail for about $49.99 and for our purposes offer the best set of features for the price. We use these in training and also
recommend them for simple FOH readings relative to monitor mix/noise floor.

Sony Headphones Model MDR-7506 retail for around $99.00. These are an industry standard, they have a nice flat frequency response
and good sound isolation. Once a PA system has been properly flattened I find that these headphones help reproduce the live
environment nicely for instances when I want to perform a quick sub-mix for recording or when I want to find a ground hum or mix a
sub-group of vocalists, drum mics etc. If your church does not already have a pair of professional quality headphones then we will
recommend that you have some on hand when we come out to teach a seminar at your church. |
